Michael Colella is one of the newest additions to the coaching staff of Northeastern University Men's Rowing. Colella joins the squad in the wake of an outstanding year of wins for NUMR — not just by the athletes, who advanced all boats to the A/B Semifinals at IRA Championships among a slew of other wins in 2022-23, but also a well-earned IRCA Leadership Award for Head Coach Alex Perkins and Assistant Coach Trevor Appier. Already helping to coach the Huskies of 2023-24 to a historic 2nd Varsity win and Varsity top 5 finish at Head of the Charles Regatta with more races on the horizon, Colella brings a new perspective and a meaningful take on the role of a coach to the Northeastern boathouse.
